The new dry top design ensures that the tube is sealed when the snorkel is underwater, so there is no need to clear it when you resurface. A purge valve located at the lowest point of the snorkel efficiently expels any water that may have entered, preventing the irritating gurgling sensation that occurs when breathing through a wet snorkel. The lower corrugated part of the tube is flexible, so when you switch to using your regulator, the mouthpiece hangs down and stays out of your way. When you return to the surface and resume snorkel breathing, the mouthpiece, designed like a regulator, fits securely between your teeth, ensuring a comfortable fit no matter how long you swim back to the boat or the beach.
